Protect the Right to Vote!
SB 1 and HB 3 are attacks on the right to vote. Instead of creating access, these bills would curtail local voting options, restrict voting hours and tighten eligibility for vote by mail.
Governor Abbott and Lt. Governor Patrick want to make it harder to vote in Texas. Instead of focusing on real priorities that would help Texans, the Governor called a special session of the legislature to advance bills that would restrict access to the ballot box.
SB 1 and HB 3 would enact a number of restrictions including cutting voting hours and options, increasing ID requirements for postal voting and adding protections for partisan poll watchers.
Resource Center is committed to ensuring that all Texans will be able to make their voices heard at the polls.
Democracy depends on the right of all citizens to make their voice heard. No voter should be silenced. SB 1 and HB 3 would be a big step back in the wrong direction. Texas does not need Jim Crow 2.0.
Leaders in Austin need to hear YOUR voice in opposition! Help protect the right to vote and tell them NO to voter suppression in our state.
